Gymnastics places two on All-Conference Team

Two members of the Arizona State women's gymnastics team have been chosen to the Pacific-10 All-Conference team. Sophomore Beaté Jones and senior Nicole Harris were each rewarded for their success throughout the season.

Jones was named to the Pac-10 First-Team for the all-around. The dynamic sophomore has scored a career-best of 39.4 earlier this season. An especially strong vaulter and floor-worker, Jones has garnered career marks of 9.925 on vault and 9.9 on floor. She has scored a 9.9 or higher in those two events six times this season. While not her strongest events, Jones has also been valuable to the Sun Devils on bars and beam. She has been consistent on beam this season, only missing one routine and scoring as high as 9.825. On beam, Jones vastly improved from last season and was rewarded for her hard work with a career-best 9.9 on the apparatus in the last home meet.

Harris, one of the nation's top beam-workers, was selected as First-Team All-Pac-10 on beam. Harris, who earned second-team All-American accolades on the event her freshman season, is currently ranked eighth on beam with an RQS of 9.895. The New Yorker has twice hit marks of 9.925 this season. She placed second at the Pac-10 Championships with a score of 9.9.

The Pac-10 Championships can be viewed on Fox Sports Arizona this Saturday at 2 p.m.
