Former Sun Devil Blair O'Neal to compete on Golf Channel Big Break


<p>Former Sun Devil women's golfer <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-golf/mtt/oneal_blair00.html">Blair O'Neal</a> will get a second chance to make Big Break history when the popular Golf Channel series returns for its 14th season later this month.</p><separator></separator><p>Premiering Sept. 29 at 9 p.m. ET, Big Break Dominican Republic will feature an all-star cast comprised of the most captivating and polarizing personalities in the series' history, who will compete for a second chance to put their golf careers on the fast track and to settle unfinished business.</p><separator></separator><p>Prior to her appearance on Big Break Prince Edward Island, O'Neal, 29, was better known for her modeling career than her golf game. &nbsp;She also was in the middle of an extended leave from golf. &nbsp;She finished runner-up on the series, and the golf world took notice. &nbsp;Since then, she has hosted shows for Golf Channel, including InFuze My Game on GolfChannel.com and the premiere episode of Donald J. Trump's Fabulous World of Golf. &nbsp;Now, she is back to playing full time on the Cactus Tour. &nbsp;She is more focused than ever and has some unfinished business on Big Break Dominican Republic.</p><separator></separator><p class="basicparagraph"><strong>Q: Before Big Break Prince Edward Island, your goal to get on the LPGA Tour seemed so far away.&nbsp; Did you ever think of giving up completely?</strong><br />A: I never gave up on the idea of playing on the LPGA.&nbsp; I knew I would play golf again because competing is what I love to do.&nbsp; I didn’t know when or how that was going to happen.&nbsp; It was always there.&nbsp; I just didn’t know when the right time would be for me.&nbsp; I have just taken a different route.</p><separator></separator><p class="basicparagraph"><strong>Q: So now…</strong><br />A: Now I feel like it’s time to make it happen.&nbsp; It is going to happen.&nbsp;</p><separator></separator><p class="basicparagraph"><strong>Q: Your intention on competing in Big Break PEI was to see if you had the desire to get back into competitive golf.&nbsp; What are your goals for Big Break Dominican Republic?</strong><br />A: My goal here is to do something that I didn’t do back at PEI.&nbsp; That is to win.&nbsp; I mean, that was the one thing left for me to do.</p>
