Diving to compete at Wildcat Invitational


The Arizona State women’s and men’s diving programs will travel to instate rival Arizona to compete in the Wildcat Diving Invitational Friday, Nov. 19 through Sunday, Nov. 21.

Eighty-eight divers from 18 different universities are confirmed for invitational, held at the Michael Kasser Pool in the Hillenbrand Aquatic Center. 

The field for the invitational features: Arizona, Arizona State, Boise State, Buffalo, BYU, Fresno State, Hawai’i, Nevada, New Mexico, Northern Arizona, San Diego State, San Jose State, Southern California, Stanford, UC San Diego, Utah, Wisconsin and Wyoming.

ASU has faced both Hawai’I and USC so far this season for a 1-1 record.  The Sun Devils dominated the Rainbow Wahine in Honolulu but fell unceremoniously to the Trojans.

On Friday, the men’s 3-meter and women’s 1-meter springboard competitions will be held with a preliminary/ quarterfinal round in the morning, followed by consolations and a final event in the afternoon.

Saturday will follow the same schedule as Friday only reversed for men’s and women’s events. On Sunday, platform events will be conducted with the option of utilizing platform heights of 3, 5, 7.5 or 10 meters.
