ASU Alumni Association introduces Homecoming photo contest

Calling all Sun Devil fans: if you bleed maroon and gold, have Sparky on nearly all your shirts or never take a photo without flashing the pitchfork sign, this contest is for you.

The ASU Alumni Association is hosting a “Fear the Fork” photo contest during October in conjunction with ASU Homecoming week. The contest kicked off Oct. 4, when the Alumni Association began accepting photos of Sun Devil fans, their children or their pets decked out in Sun Devil spirit and making the pitchfork sign.

Entries can be submitted via Facebook by posting the photo on the ASU Alumni Facebook page, http://www.facebook.com/ASUAlumni. Photos will be accepted through Friday, Oct. 22 and will be compiled into a gallery on Facebook for fans to review.

The six most diehard Sun Devil fans will be selected by a judging committee and notified through a Facebook message. Beginning on Monday, Oct. 25, a winning photo will be posted as the profile picture of the ASU Alumni page and congratulated via status update for more than 5,000 fans to see. This will continue each day of the week with the first place winner being posted on Homecoming, Saturday, Oct. 30.

Participants must include their name in the caption of the photo and also be fans of the ASU Alumni Facebook page to be eligible. For full details, visit http://alumni.asu.edu/fearthefork.
