Capping off a year of unprecedented challenges, ASU will hold its second-ever virtual commencement ceremony on Monday, Dec. 14, gathering digitally to honor and celebrate the university's newest crop of graduates.

ASU Now has collected the stories of many of these impressively resilient students, who overcame obstacles on top of the pandemic, excelled in their chosen fields of study and worked hard over their entire academic careers, finding a place to thrive at ASU.

Psychology Dean’s Medalist has a passion for serving others

Karishma Singh is a senior and Dean's Medalist who is double majoring in psychology and family and human development. She has served as a coach in the First-Year Success Center and also as a research assistant in the Evolution, Ecology, and Social Behavior Lab.

ASU grad returns to earn bachelor’s degree after 30 years

Sharon Suarez first attended Arizona State University in 1987 as a 17 year old. She graduated this fall with her bachelor's degree in anthropology and a minor in English from The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
