The COVID-19 pandemic interrupted the longest expansion on record and led to a sharp economic contraction. Can the U.S. economy continue with its current recovery? What are the perspectives for the Arizona economy? What will be the economic consequences of the U.S. elections and political change in Washington?

Find out at the 2021 Economic Forecast Luncheon — hosted by the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University and sponsored by PNC Bank — where top national and regional experts will present their economic forecasts and advice on these issues and more.

The keynote address will be given by Mary C. Daly, president and chief executive officer of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. The outlook for the business sector will be presented by Stuart G. Hoffman, senior economic adviser at the PNC Financial Services Group. Bart Hobijn, professor of economics at ASU's W. P. Carey School of Business, will give the outlook for the global and national economy. The outlook for the regional and metro economy will be shared by Lee R. McPheters, research professor of economics and director of the JPMorgan Chase Economic Outlook Center at the W. P. Carey School.

The virtual event will take place at 11:15 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 1, live on Zoom.

Register for the event at wpcarey.asu.edu/efl.

Hobijn and McPheters will be available for media opportunities the morning of Monday, Nov. 30. Reporters can schedule interviews by emailing Shay Moser at shay.moser@asu.edu.
