ASU business school unveils new site 'Ideas Unlimited'

|

This month, the W. P. Carey School of Business relaunched its news and research website, news.wpcarey.asu.edu, with a new name, look, and audience experience. “Ideas Unlimited” is the redesigned homepage that puts all the school’s best content in one place.

“As W. P. Carey’s content delivery becomes more strategized, and as its audiences become more connected to the school in ways beyond the traditional website for degrees and academic programs, it’s necessary to provide a platform to meet that demand,” said Amy Hillman, dean of the W. P. Carey School of Business. “By presenting our content in a more democratized way, we present new opportunities for the work we do and the stakeholders we serve. Ideas Unlimited creates a unified voice and delivery of insights from the school.”

Instead of several separate websites in different formats — student blogs, faculty research, news and the alumni magazine — each catering to a small segment of W. P. Carey’s global audience, Ideas Unlimited showcases the latest in these areas accessible in one place. While readers are learning about master’s degree programs or what it takes to become a successful entrepreneur, they can also discover innovative work in humanitarian logistics or that W. P. Carey is one of the top-ranked schools in the U.S. for supply chain management.

Ideas Unlimited offers a coherent and rich experience for W. P. Carey’s audience, engaging readers to select their path — research, news, alumni magazine, students, alumni, or KnowIT, a dedicated resource about research, events, and success stories from the highly ranked Department of Information Systems.

The W. P. Carey School is among the most prolific business schools in the country with respect to published research, and Ideas Unlimited provides access to all the latest insights uncovered by faculty. In addition, because W. P. Carey faculty are commonly sought by major media outlets — including the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, and CNN — the new site will be a convenient gateway to wherever W. P. Carey faculty is featured in the news.

Known for its eye-catching design and broad range of topics, the award-winning W. P. Carey magazine brings illuminating features, profiles, and emerging trends to more than 100,000 readers twice each year. Now delivered online through Ideas Unlimited, the magazine will draw new readers who regularly turn to W. P. Carey for its research or student stories.

"Our online audience is engaging W. P. Carey on a growing number of devices, from small-screen phones to big-screen TVs," Hillman said. “With this new approach, we're able to give the worldwide W. P. Carey community and those who are brand new to us a complete and optimum experience."
