Eric Heying, a Bachelor of Fine Arts in ceramics candidate in the Arizona State Univerity School of Art was named a 2012 Windgate Fellow. Heying was one of 10 selected among a field of 114 applicants for this prestigious award. The selection process presents a rare opportunity to survey the best and brightest emerging artists in their craft. "The Windgate Fellowship is an extremely competitive award selected from a pool of top students nominated by faculty from 75 post-secondary schools who offer craft arts in their curricula. The selection of Eric is a testament to his talent and the important teaching and mentoring and peer-to-peer learning taking place in the Herberger Institute School of Art," said ASU School of Art Professor and Director Adriene Jenik.
