Joseph Fortunato presented a first-place research paper titled "Bombs Away? Revisiting the ‘Failure’ of Spielberg's 1941" at the annual BEA convention in Las Vegas. He also served on a panel on "Teaching Screenwriting for Tomorrow's Media."

In June, Fortunato will present another installment of his bi-monthly “Film School” at FilmBar in downtown Phoenix. The June 5 “Film School” event features a screening of “The Last Picture Show.” Fortunato will discuss the movie and provide live commentary on the 1971 classic film directed by Peter Bogdanovich.
