Six music faculty combined their artistry to make first recordings of six new pieces on the recently released CD, Discovery on Summit Records. The six new works were written for hornist and Professor Emeritus Thomas Bacon, executive producer, and pianist and Regents Professor, Caio Pagano.

The music was recorded in Katzin Concert Hall in the School of Music building on the ASU Tempe campus. Discovery is derived from a major work on the disc, Trio "a carta de Pero Vaz de Caminha."
