Wayne Bailey

Wayne Bailey, professor of music in the School of Music, recently published the second edition of his conducting method book aimed at college conducting courses. "Conducting: The Art of Communication" is a joint project between Bailey and Brandt Payne, an assistant professor at Youngstown State University and an alum of the ASU DMA in Conducting program.

The text extends beyond the strictly technical coverage of other books, offering students unparalleled coverage of the art of conducting, advanced techniques, score study for rehearsal and performance, and error recognition and correction.
