Lisa Grace is the new executive director of University Audits at Arizona State University (ASU). In her new position starting in early October, she will report to Morgan R. Olsen, ASU executive vice president, treasurer and chief financial officer.

“Lisa Grace has the talent, experience and enthusiasm to serve as the university’s chief audit executive, leading the internal audit team,” said Olsen. “I believe her experience and vision will help create practices that advance the university’s internal audit team and position the office as a trusted partner to University management.”

I am especially grateful to the University Audits director selection committee for its dedication as we identified the next leader for this key function, Olsen added.

Since 2007, Grace has worked for ACI Worldwide, Inc. — a publicly-traded electronic payments software provider — as director of internal audit. While at ACI, she directed financial and operational audit processes including audit execution and program development; communication to senior and executive management; planning; and risk assessment. Lisa holds bachelor of science in accounting and a master’s in management information systems degrees from Bellevue University. She has earned the following professional certifications:

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
• Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

Grace additionally has leadership experience in finance and accounting that focused on systems automation and process improvement at ConAgra, Bank of the West, and First National Bank of Omaha.

"I am excited to join the ASU team and be part of the vision that has resulted in ASU being recognized as the most innovative university in America,” said Grace. “I believe Internal Audit will help drive operational excellence by promoting positive change and improvement to the university's control environment and business processes."
