Who
Ryan Peter Miller is a Master of Fine Arts candidate in drawing and painting in the ASU Herberger College School of Art.

What
According to artist Ryan Peter Miller, "Ain'ting is not painting."

For his thesis exhibition, Miller gives contemporary context to paint by questioning the traditional modes of presentation and application most commonly associated with the material. The exhibition is a plastic, non-linear history of painting recounted in acrylic paint, which shows that the ideas that define the discipline of painting are as malleable as the material itself.
