ASU Gammage Beyond brings Grammy winner Natalia LaFourcade to Phoenix

Grammy-winning artist Natalia LaFourcade

Grammy winner Natalia LaFourcade will perform at the Herberger Theater Center on April 29.

Fresh off her 2016 Grammy win for best Latin rock, urban or alternative album, Natalia LaFourcade has added Phoenix to her U.S. tour and is set to perform at the Herberger Theater Center on April 29, presented by ASU Gammage Beyond.

LaFourcade went on tour promoting her album "Hasta la Raíz," around states in Mexico and has added several U.S. cities to the tour garnering rave reviews.

LaFourcade won the 2016 Grammy for "Hasta la Raíz," an album of intensely personal songs with an alternative vibe that’s been very successful in her native Mexico but has a decidedly niche following in the U.S. The album reached No. 1 on iTunes and Deezer. The albums’ singles “Hasta la Raiz” and “Lo que construimos” became viral on Spotify's fifty most played songs in Mexico and Top 10 on Spotify's global playlist.

The album has become so successful that it became a platinum record in Mexico and a gold record in Italy.

At this year's edition of the Latin Grammy awards, LaFourcade received five out of six nominations including: record of the year, song of the year, best alternative music album, best alternative song and best engineered album.

Tickets go on sale today and are available at ticketmaster.com and asugammage.com.
