Located in northwest Phoenix, ASU’s West campus is home to nearly 9,000 students pursuing degrees in business, education, and interdisciplinary arts and science programs. Patterned after the University of Oxford, the campus architecture is designed to create a close-knit learning community.

The Sun Devil Fitness Complex has state-of-the-art weight and cardio equipment, a running track, fitness studios, an outdoor pool, two competition play fields, outdoor basketball courts and sand volleyball courts, indoor racquetball courts, and a two-court gymnasium.

Fletcher Library's collection includes more than 400,000 volumes, supports the West campus curriculum and features an extensive media collection. Group study rooms equipped with computers, projectors, individual study space, and a copy center are also available. The three-story library is open seven days a week during semester sessions.

The Fletcher Library was dedicated in 1988 and was the first building completed on campus. Soon after, the library received an Honor Award, the top recognition of design excellence from the Southern Arizona Chapter of the American Institute of Architects.

Professor Kimberly Kobojec uses an ultraviolet light to fluoresce certain biological fluids in the forensic lab on the West campus. Blood, however, does not glow under ultraviolet light. Kobojec’s lab focuses on reconstructing an incident through discovery and forensic science.
