Zipcar to debut at West, Polytechnic campuses

August 28, 2009

Parking and Transit Services (PTS) is exanding the Zipcar program at ASU with the arrival of more cars in the university’s fleet. Two vehicles each at the West and Polytechnic campuses are ready for reservations.

On Sept. 9, PTS will mark the debut of the newest Zipcar additions with celebrations at both campuses from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. On the West campus, festivities will take place in front of the Credit Union South near the entrance to the PTS office, located on University Way North. On the Polytechnic campus, the celebration will occur near the PTS office, located north of the Student Union at the intersection of Twining Street and Texas Avenue.

The Zipcar vehicles will be on display and PTS staff will be available to answer questions, explain the program and sign up new members. Light refreshments will also be served and there will be plenty of free giveaways, so it is a great way to relax, cool down and become part of this revolutionary car-sharing program.

If you’re not sure what Zipcar is and are unaware of the convenient, economical and environmentally smart option it is to meet your transportation needs, then visit the Zipcar Web site.
