The Devils held a consistent pace throughout the evening, although there were 25 tie scores and eight lead changes as the Buffaloes battled through the match.

The first set saw the Buffs come out with the first lead, but the Devils fought back nearly point for point before taking their first lead on a kill from Wilson at 15-14. The lead changed only twice after that, and the Devils continued to pace through to take the set 25-23 with a kill from Mendivil.

In the second set, the largest lead came from the Buffs at 18-15 before the Devils took over and continued to keep an edge over Colorado. Wilson continued to lead offensively as the second set came just as tough as the first, 25-23.

The third set saw the Devils take charge as they came charging into the start, leading by as many as four points early on. The Buffs fought back, and while the Devils only gave up the lead one time, they widened their advantage to 24-21 late in the set. The Buffs fought back to make it 24-23, but a resounding kill from Wilson wrapped up the sweep for the Devils.
