Tsosie to speak at symposium on 'Exhibiting Culture'

<a href="http://www.law.asu.edu/Apps/Faculty/Faculty.aspx?individual_id=127">Reb… Tsosie</a>, executive director of the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law's Indian Legal Program, will participate in a symposium on "Exhibiting Culture: Museums and Indians," organized by the Native American Law Center at the University of Tulsa College of Law.<separator></separator>The symposium will be held on Friday, May 15, at the Gilcrease Museum in Tulsa, which houses the world's largest, most comprehensive collection of art and artifacts of the American West, including an unparalleled collection of Native American art, artifacts and documents.<separator></separator>Tsosie will speak on a panel, "Museums and Indians," along with Duane King, Director of the Gilcrease Museum, and Dan Monroe, Director of the Peabody Essex Museum, in Salem, Mass.<separator></separator>The keynote address will be given by Kevin Gover, Director of the National Museum of the American Indian.<separator></separator>Tsosie, a Willard H. Pedrick Distinguished Research Scholar and Affiliate Professor, American Indian Studies at ASU, teaches in the areas of Indian law, Property, Bioethics, and Critical Race Theory, as well as seminars in International Indigenous Rights and in the College's Tribal Policy, Law, and Government Master of Laws program.
