Tempe campus power has been restored

Power to all buildings on the Tempe campus has been restored.



9:16 a.m.

There is a power outage at the ASU Tempe campus this morning, caused by a water leak that damaged electrical systems at the central plant. 20-30 percent of the campus buildings have been affected. These are the buildings identified as affected:

Sun Devil Fitness complex
Computing Commons
Physical Education east and west
Physical Sciences A-H
Mona Plummer Aquatic complex
University Club
Health Services
Fulton Center
Schwada Classroom Office Building
ASU Bookstore
Engineering Research Center A-G
Palo Verde East
Palo Verde West
McCord Hall

Power is expected to be restored shortly. The university is on winter break.

University operations will continue as usual. Individual workers in buildings affected should contact their supervisors to determine how to best adjust their work day. Supervisors seeking counsel may call Jenn Treu in the Office of Human resources at 480-965-5221.
