Technologies expo puts focus on innovations

September 01, 2006

Arizona Technology Enterprises (AzTE) and ASU Technopolis, two ASU programs dedicated to advancing technology, will host the Arizona State University Emerging Technologies Expo from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Sept. 12, at the Memorial Union on the Tempe campus.

The program includes a continental breakfast and lunch. It is free and open to everyone.

The expo combines exhibits and education to showcase to industry those cutting-edge technologies emerging from the university that are closest to commercialization.

“Business leaders will have an opportunity to observe firsthand those technologies that can influence their companies, and learn how they can gain access to the discoveries for licensing or investment,” says Charlie Lewis, AzTE's vice president of marketing.

In addition to viewing exhibits on the discoveries emerging from ASU and hearing presentations on specific areas of technology and science from leading experts, participants can learn how their company can partner with ASU to gain access to cutting-edge technology and health sciences.

They also can gain insight on the ASU Technolopolis Launch Pad program, whose mission is to educate, coach and connect innovators and entrepreneurs.
