Symposium highlights transport sustainability best practices

In promoting best practices in all areas of sustainability – with a view to help advance sustainable transportation practices in rapidly developing countries of the world that are facing great challenges – ASU is conducting the first International Symposium on Advances in Transport Sustainability (ISATS2010) Nov. 17-19.

Symposium sessions will take place at the Memorial Union on the Tempe campus, with a keynote speech by Victor M. Mendez, federal highway administrator and ASU alumnus. Mendez, a 1994 MBA graduate, was the former director of the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) and has more than 20 years of State DOT experience.

Mendez’s speech will take place from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., Nov. 19, in the Turquoise Ballroom of the Memorial Union, and is open to the public.

In addition, the organizers are also making other keynote sessions of the symposium open and free to the public. See complete details about the special sessions open to the public at no charge. If you would like to attend any of the free keynote sessions, please register by completing the RSVP form (also available here).
