Supplier Showcase shares goods, services with ASU community
ASU faculty and staff are invited to attend the 2014 Supplier Showcase from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Nov. 5, in the Arizona and Ventana ballrooms of the Memorial Union on the Tempe campus. The theme for the showcase this year is “Supplying Innovation.” All vendors have been asked to decorate their booth using this theme, and to highlight their innovative goods and services.
More than 70 companies will have booths at the showcase, including Canon, Dell Computer, Dircks Moving & Logistics, Diversified Flooring Services, Knoll & Corporate Interior Systems, Sun Devil Marketplace (Follett), Troxell Communications, Inc. and Wholesale Floors, LLC. From graphic designers and printers to office furniture, travel, telecommunications and laboratory product vendors, the Supplier Showcase will feature products that meet the needs of the wide array of colleges and departments at ASU.
"The Supplier Showcase allows the ASU community to meet their vendors face-to-face, and gives suppliers a chance to demonstrate their exceptional products and services,” says Maureen King, ASU Materials Management manager. “This year's showcase will be an outstanding opportunity for information sharing and engagement.”
ASU-approved vendors who produce a variety of goods and commodities will be on display at the showcase to answer questions, provide information about their services and hand out samples and other takeaway items.
"This year's theme of ‘Supplying Innovation’ is particularly relevant because ASU is looked to as a leader in revolutionizing a new model for the American Research University," says King. “The goods and services obtained by ASU personnel and departments should mirror that commitment.”
The Supplier Showcase also has once again been certified as a Gold-Level Green Event, as awarded by the ASU Global Institute of Sustainability’s Green Events Program.
Door prizes will be awarded to lucky faculty and staff members who attend the showcase. Employees at the Downtown Phoenix, Polytechnic and West campuses may conveniently reach the Memorial Union on the free intercampus shuttles. Tempe campus employees may take the free FLASH shuttles from wherever they are housed on campus to make their way to the event. View shuttle schedules.
