Street, Loop 101 closures impact game day traffic

A variety of road closures, including a portion of the Loop 101, will impact fans as they head to the ASU - Nevada football game Sept. 9. The game will kick off at Sun Devil Stadium at 7 p.m.

The closures include:

• Loop 101 between the US 60 and Loop 202 will be closed in both directions from 9 p.m., Sept. 8 to 5 a.m., Sept. 11. Apache Boulevard will be closed to through traffic at the Loop 101. Access to the Price Frontage Road will be maintained. Motorists will only be able to make right hand turns onto the Price Frontage Road. The reason for this closure is to allow the LRT contractor to demolish the center section of the Apache Boulevard/Loop 101 bridge.

• Veterans Way between 6th Street and College Avenue will be closed in both directions from 30 minutes prior to kick-off until one hour after the game ends.

• Rural Road between Rio Salado Parkway and 6th Street will be closed in both directions from the start of the 4th quarter until one hour after the game ends.

• Westbound University Drive between Rural Road and McClintock Drive will be closed from the start of the 4th quarter until one hour after the game ends. Local business access will be permitted.
