Stinson delivers keynote at legal writing conference
Judy Stinson, Clinical Professor of Law and Director of the Legal Method and Writing Program at the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law, was the keynote speaker at the recent 10th Annual Rocky Mountain Legal Writing Conference.
The conference, which drew more than 100 attendees, was held March 19-20 at the University of Arizona.
Stinson's talk was titled, "Teaching Legal Writing from a Different Perspective," and was based on her new book, The Tao of Legal Writing, published by Carolina Academic Press.
Stinson, a 1988 graduate of the University of Arizona law school, is immediate past president of the Association of Legal Writing Directors.
Stinson is at the helm of the College's nationally ranked legal research and writing program. Her research and teaching focuses on Legal Method and Writing, Legal Research and Writing, Introduction to U.S. Law, Appellate Advocacy and Sexual Orientation and the Law. She has written extensively in the area of legal research and writing. She is the advisor for the Women Law Students' Association and OUTLaw.
