Sorting through waste to find solutions
October 4, 2013
A group of School of Sustainability students and researchers recently sorted through 2,000 pounds of trash from SRP facilities at a City of Phoenix waste transfer station.
Walton Sustainability Solutions Initiatives, a part of the Global Institute of Sustainability, engaged in this exercise as part of a project with SRP and the City of Phoenix to aid their efforts to develop a sustainable, system-wide solution to their waste practices. The project is directly tied to and models ASU's Zero Waste Action Plan.
