Saks appointed to AAAS, ABA joint board


Michael Saks, Regents’ Professor of Law and Psychology at the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law, was recently appointed to the National Conference of Lawyers and Scientists board, a joint effort of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) and American Bar Association (ABA) board.

He will attend his first meeting on May 13 in Washington, D.C.

Saks is a Faculty Fellow at the Center for Law, Science & Innovation. His research focuses on empirical studies of the legal system, especially decision making, the behavior of the litigation system and the law’s use of science. He is the fourth most-cited law-and-social-science scholar in the U.S., and has authored approximately 200 articles and books.
