Rose named senior fellow of administrative conference
<p>Professor Jonathan Rose, Willard H. Pedrick Distinguished Research Scholar of the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law, has been named a Senior Fellow of the Administrative Conference of the United States, an independent federal agency dedicated to improving the administrative process through consensus-driven applied research, providing expert advice and recommendations for improvement of federal agency procedures.</p><separator></separator><p>Senior fellows have previously served as Chairman of the Conference or have served for six or more years as government or public members of, or liaison representatives to, the Conference. They are appointed by the Chairman with the approval of the Council, serve for two-year terms and may be reappointed.<br /><br />On the organization’s website, President Barack Obama describes it as “a public-private partnership designed to make the government work better.”<br /><br />After spending most of his career focusing on antitrust, regulation and legal ethics, Rose changed direction. His primary scholarly interests now involve medieval and early modern English legal history, and his research focuses on the history and regulation of the legal profession and the operation of the medieval legal system.
