Retirees Association announces Veterans' Day golf tournament


<p>After an absence of three years, the ASU Retirees Association (ASURA)’s Veterans Day Golf Tournament is back.</p><separator></separator><p>The 2010 event will take place Thursday, Nov. 11, at the ASU Karsten Golf Course, 1125 E. Rio Salado Parkway, Tempe.</p><separator></separator><p>Proceeds will be divided between two causes:<br />• The Bobby and Ellie Winkles Scholarship Endowment in the Athletic Department<br />• The ASURA Video History Projects including scholarships</p><separator></separator><p>The ASURA Video History Project has completed 60 interviews (on DVDs) of notable figures in ASU’s history, including past presidents, provosts, leaders and sports figures. (To see the list go to <a href="http://asura.asu.edu/VideoHistory">http://asura.asu.edu/VideoHistory</a…;.)</p><separator></separator><p>Former players and fans of long-time baseball coach Bobby Winkles initiated the scholarship in May 2010 through the ASU Foundation.</p><separator></separator><p>Winkles and former football coach Frank Kush will be participating in the golf tournament.</p><separator></separator><p>Entry fee is $75, which includes golf, cart, 19th hole barbecue and prizes.</p><separator></separator><p>Reservations for lunch also are available for $20.
