Professor researching how metal fails under stress

ASU is devoting research to material science and how metal fails when it is under stress, such as in an aircraft.

Nik Chawla, professor of Materials Engineering in the Fulton Schools at ASU is working on way to detect metal fatigue before a catastrophic incident can occur.
