Popko appointed to Judicial College of Arizona


Clinical Professor Zig Popko recently was appointed by Arizona Supreme Court Chief Justice Rebecca White Berch to the Judicial College of Arizona to serve a three-year term. His term began Jan. 1.

The College is responsible for the development, implementation and administrative oversight of the training of Arizona’s judicial officers, as well as additional educational programs that support Arizona’s judicial branch.

Popko is the founding director of the College of Law’s Post-Conviction Clinic and a member of the State Bar of Arizona’s Rules of Professional Conduct Committee. Before joining the faculty in 2001, he was an assistant federal public defender in Phoenix.
