Penatonix concert sold out; second show added
A second concert by vocal performance group Penatonix has been added at ASU’s West campus, Thursday, Sept. 20 at 7 p.m. The group’s Sept. 21 performance is sold out.
“We are delighted to be able to add a second show to accommodate the large numbers of fans who want to see these extremely talented entertainers,” said Jeff Kennedy, campus artistic director and a faculty member in ASU's New College of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences.
Pentatonix is the wildly popular a cappella group that won Season 3 of NBC’s “The Sing-Off” and whose new recording debuted at #1 on the iTunes Pop charts. Penatonix is selling out concerts around the country, and the Valley is no exception. ASU’s West campus is the group’s only stop in Metro Phoenix on its first national tour.
The Penatonix concerts are part of an expanded arts and performance series at ASU’s West campus, 4701 W. Thunderbird Road in Phoenix. Other highlights this fall include a visit by National Book Award winner Maxine Hong Kingston; a performance by the West Valley Symphony; theatrical productions “Underneath the Lintel” and “Nine Circles;” diverse presentations in ArtSpace West, the campus’s installation gallery; and much more.
Tickets for the Sept. 20 Penatonix concert are $15 and may be purchased online at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/268677.
Many of the upcoming events and performances at the West campus are free of charge. More information about the Penatonix concerts and the fall season can be found online at campus.asu.edu/west/events, on Facebook @ asuwestevents, or by calling the Arts Information line at (602) 543-2787.
