Parking permit rates to stabilize, renewals available in April

<p>You wouldn’t pay more for your car insurance, so why pay more for your parking permit? </p><separator></separator><p>PTS is pleased to announce that <a href="http://uabf.asu.edu/parking_permits_locations">rates for the upcoming 2009-10 year</a> will remain the same as current rates, helping customers to keep money in their pockets while continuing to offer a variety of commuter options for the ASU community. </p><separator></separator><p>Over the past few years, PTS has been able to implement a number of free or cost-effective programs on campus to help improve parking and transportation options. Among those programs are:</p><separator></separator><p>• Free holiday shuttles to the airport</p><separator></separator><p>• Zipcar</p><separator></separator><p>• Free on-campus shuttles – McAllister &amp; FLASH</p><separator></separator><p>• Free intercampus shuttles with wireless internet</p><separator></separator><p>• Bus shelters</p><separator></separator><p>• Online visitor permits </p><separator></separator><p>Although PTS will continue to provide these programs and others in the future, it is now able to do so while stabilizing prices. Permit holders who wish to maintain their current parking location for 2009-10 can renew their permits during the upcoming renewal period, which begins Wednesday, April 1.</p><separator></separator><p>Customers must renew their permits online using PTS’ <a href="https://parking.asu.edu/">MyParking Online Services</a>. Only cash or check transactions will be completed over the counter in the permit sales offices; all other customers must utilize the online system. All renewals must be completed by Thursday, April 30.</p><separator></separator><p>Customers who do not renew their permits may purchase a 2009-10 permit during the new sales period this summer. However, permit selection will be limited to the lots and structures that are available for purchase at that time. Please note that residence hall permits cannot be renewed.  Detailed information and options will be sent to confirmed resident hall students in the summer.    </p><separator></separator><p>The online renewal process is the same as last year. All permits will be mailed First Class, free of charge, directly to the customer’s mailing address of choice. Permits cannot be sent via campus mail or held at our offices for pickup at a later date. </p>
