Orenstein speaks at infusion therapy convention

Daniel Orenstein, affiliated faculty and Lincoln Fellow for Ethics and Health Policy at the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law, recently spoke at the 2013 Infusion Nurses Society Annual Convention and Industrial Exhibition in Charlotte, N.C.

More than 1,000 infusion nurses attended the convention, which included exhibits with industry leaders, presentations that showcased the latest infusion research and networking opportunities.

Orenstein said the convention was an excellent opportunity to provide key legal information to a group of health care professionals and help them understand how the law applies to their work.

Orenstein’s current research and scholarship focus on issues of public health law and ethics, including emergency legal preparedness, public health emergency ethics, obesity control and prevention, and infectious disease policy. He also lectures on other health law and public health law topics, including health care reform and end-of-life issues.
