The Note-Taker taking ASU students to worldwide technology contest

A team of Arizona State University students will be competing in the world’s premier student technology contest in New York City, July 8-13.

Team Note-Taker earned a place in the Microsoft Imagine Cup Worldwide Finals by taking the top prize in the U.S. Imagine Cup finals April 11.

Engineering student David Hayden is the inventor of The Note-Taker, a portable custom-designed camera with a touch-screen Tablet PC that aids visually impaired students. He got help developing the technology in the Center for Cognitive Ubiquitous Computing – known as CUbiC – in ASU's Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering.

Hayden talked about the project in an interview on a national radio program.

Channel 12 News in Phoenix also recently broadcast a report on Team Note-Taker members and their project.
