Nominations accepted for women advocates

February 27, 2008

The mission of the ASU Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) is to identify, advocate for, and increase awareness of needed change in the university in order to enhance opportunities for women and other underrepresented groups.

Each year, the Commission on the Status of Women seeks to honor those individuals, groups or teams whose efforts most exemplify and further the mission of the CSW. Accordingly, the Commission on the Status of Women is delighted to announce this call for nominations for its ninth annual Outstanding Achievement and Contribution Award. All students, staff, faculty and administrators from all four campuses are eligible to nominate and/or to receive the award. Complete nomination rules and procedures can be found on the nomination form.

As a note, previous award nominees are eligible to be nominated again. Therefore, if your department nominated an individual in the past, yet they did not receive the award, you may resubmit your nomination of that individual.

Nomination forms can be downloaded from the CSW Web site at: http://aspin.asu.edu/csw/nominations.htm. Nomination forms can also be mailed or e-mailed to you by contacting the CSW office at (480) 965-2958 or by e-mailing Karen Engler, CSW academic associate, at karen.engler@asu.edu.

Nominations are due March 26. All award nominees and recipients will be honored at a reception in late April.
