'No Impact Week' encourages students to live greener
ASU's first No Impact Week kicked off this week in an effort to encourage students to live greener. Sponsored by ASU's Global Institute of Sustainability (GIOS), the eight-day initiative challenged students on the Tempe campus, where GIOS is housed, to learn something something new each day of the week about how to be more environmentally mindful.
“No Impact Week provided an extended and unique outlet for student activism in the areas of water, energy [and] waste,” said Kimberly Pearson, a Spanish literature and sustainability junior, as reported in the State Press.
