New parking options available


<p class="MsoNormal">The new MyParking Online Services application is now available for customers to purchase permits online for the 2009-2010 academic year. With the new online system comes additional permit offerings and payment options for employees. <o:p></o:p></p><separator></separator><p class="MsoNormal">In addition to the many existing permit options, PTS at the Tempe and Downtown Phoenix campuses now offers a fall semester-only permit, valid Aug. 16 to Dec. 31. The cost of the permit varies depending on location, but is approximately 55 percent of the annual permit rate for a particular lot or structure. This permit is designed for students who will be graduating at the end of the semester and anyone who may not be returning for the spring 2010 semester. Fall semester-only permits may not be purchased via payroll deduction. Visit the Web site <a href="http://pts.asu.edu&quot; target="_blank">http://pts.asu.edu</a&gt; to see a list of parking locations where fall semester-only permits are available, and to purchase this or most any other type of parking permit.<o:p></o:p></p><separator></separator><p class="MsoNormal">Adding to the list of evening permits already available at the Tempe and Downtown Phoenix campuses, are evening permits at the West and Polytechnic campuses. These permits are valid Aug. 16, 2009 to Aug. 15, 2010, and can be used after 4 p.m. in the lot or structure for which the permit is designated.<o:p></o:p></p><separator></separator><p class="MsoNormal">Employees who are traditionally non-benefits eligible may now qualify for post-tax payroll deduction for their parking permit. Non-benefits eligible employees, who in the past have paid for parking in full at the beginning of the school year or upon hire, may now elect to purchase their parking permit or transit pass through payroll deduction as long as they have at least 10 pay periods where they are guaranteed to receive a paycheck. <o:p></o:p></p><separator></separator><p class="MsoNormal">Employees who are PRN, seasonal, work less than 10 pay periods, or hourly retirees who have returned to ASU to work part-time positions, are not eligible for payroll deduction of parking or transit permits.<o:p></o:p></p><separator></separator><p class="MsoNormal">Graduate students may qualify for payroll deduction for their parking permit; however, graduate students who wish to purchase a Student U-Pass must pay for the transit pass upfront regardless of payroll eligibility. <o:p></o:p></p><separator></separator><p class="MsoNormal">MyParking Online Services can be accessed online at <a href="http://pts.asu.edu&quot; target="_blank">http://pts.asu.edu</a&gt; or by logging into one’s My ASU account.<o:p></o:p></p><separator></separator><!--EndFragment--></p>
