Mayes participates in General Electric leadership event


<p>Kris Mayes, Professor of Practice and Faculty Director of the College of Law’s new Program on Law and Sustainability, participated in General Electric’s Thought Leadership Dinner on Monday, Feb. 14, in Washington, D.C.</p><separator></separator><p>The event focused on the evolving energy landscape and the importance of technological, environmental and regulatory innovations.</p><separator></separator><p>Mayes served as an Arizona Corporation Commissioner from 2003 to 2010, and was its chairman for two years. While serving as Arizona Corporation Commissioner, Mayes co-authored Arizona’s Renewable Energy Standard, and focused on renewable energy transmission and water conservation.
