Mayes appointed to the Energy Foundation Board of Directors


Kris Mayes, faculty director of the Program on Law and Sustainability at the College of Law, recently was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Energy Foundation.

Mayes’ “success in delivering innovative energy policies as a regulator, her background in communications and her current position as director of Arizona State University’s Program on Law and Sustainably will provide the Energy Foundation Board with valuable expertise and insights,” stated a press release from the Energy Foundation.

The Energy Foundation is a partnership of major donors interested in solving the world's energy problems. Its mission is to advance energy efficiency and renewable energy – new technologies that are essential components of a clean energy future.

Mayes, who has a Masters of Public Policy from Columbia University and a J.D. from the College of Law, served on the Arizona Corporation Commission from 2003 to 2010.
