Marchant speaks at bankruptcy conference
Gary Marchant, ASU Lincoln Professor of Emerging Technologies, Law and Ethics and executive director of the Center for Law, Science & Innovation, spoke at a seminar titled, “Bankruptcy: Have We Hit the Ceiling?,” Oct. 6, in Orlando, Fla.
Marchant’s presented, “The Emerging Technologies that are about to Radically Transform Business, Law and Your Life,” for members of the Central Florida Bankruptcy Law Association, as part of its annual seminar series.
Marchant’s research interests include the use of genetic information in environmental regulation, risk and the precautionary principle, legal aspects of personalized medicine, and regulation of emerging technologies such as nanotechnology, neuroscience and biotechnology. He teaches courses in Environmental Law, Law, Science & Technology, Genetics and the Law, Biotechnology: Science, Law and Policy, and Nanotechnology Law & Policy.
