Marchant lectures at appellate court conference


<p><a href="http://apps.law.asu.edu/Apps/Faculty/Faculty.aspx?individual_id=6">Gary Marchant</a>, the ASU Lincoln Professor of Emerging Technologies and Executive Director of the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law’s Center for Law, Science &amp; Innovation, spoke before the Florida Conference of District Court of Appeal Judges on Sept. 14 in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.</p><separator></separator><p>The session in which Marchant participated as a faculty member was called “Technology and the Courts.”</p><separator></separator><p>Marchant’s research interests include the use of genetic information in environmental regulation, risk and the precautionary principle, legal aspects of personalized medicine, and regulation of emerging technologies such as nanotechnology, neuroscience and biotechnology. He teaches courses in Environmental Law, Law, Science &amp; Technology, Genetics and the Law, Biotechnology: Science, Law and Policy, and Nanotechnology Law &amp; Policy.
