Marchant gives keynote at Federalist Society convention


<p><a href="http://apps.law.asu.edu/Apps/Faculty/Faculty.aspx?individual_id=6">Gary Marchant</a>, Professor of Emerging Technologies, Law &amp; Ethics, and Executive Director of the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law’s Center for Law, Science, &amp; Innovation, spoke at the 2010 National Lawyers Convention hosted by The Federalist Society, on Nov. 18-20, in Washington, D.C.</p><separator></separator><p>Marchant’s lecture was titled, “Emerging Technologies: The Future of Law?”</p><separator></separator><p>Marchant’s research interests include the use of genetic information in environmental regulation, risk and the precautionary principle, legal aspects of personalized medicine, and regulation of emerging technologies such as nanotechnology, neuroscience and biotechnology. He teaches courses in Environmental Law, Law, Science &amp; Technology, Genetics and the Law, Biotechnology: Science, Law and Policy, and Nanotechnology Law &amp; Policy.
