Marchant to address state appeals court conference


<p>Gary Marchant, Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law’s Professor of Emerging Technologies, Law &amp; Ethics and Executive Director of the College of Law's Center for Law, Science, &amp; Innovation, will lecture at the annual conference of the Council of Chief Judges of the State Courts of Appeal on Nov. 12, in Napa, Calif. He will participate in the session, "What's in Your Emerging Technology Toolbox?"</p><separator></separator><p>Marchant’s research interests include the use of genetic information in environmental regulation, risk and the precautionary principle, legal aspects of personalized medicine, and regulation of emerging technologies such as nanotechnology, neuroscience and biotechnology. He teaches courses in Environmental Law, Law, Science &amp; Technology, Genetics and the Law, Biotechnology: Science, Law and Policy, and Nanotechnology Law &amp; Policy.
