Law students win annual legal writing award


<p>Four law students, all in their third year, won the prestigious Baird Award, an annual legal writing contest sponsored by the College of Law and the law firm Lewis &amp; Roca. Winners were chosen by Lewis &amp; Roca and received cash awards.</p><separator></separator><p>This year’s first place winner was Anne Warren, winning $1,500. Nick Barton and Adam Reich tied for second place, both winning $1,000. The third place winner, David Palanzo, was awarded $750.</p><separator></separator><p>Ken Van Winkle, Jr., Managing Partner of Lewis &amp; Roca, said the firm is proud to be a partner in the annual award.</p><separator></separator><p>“We believe that it is essential to offer educational resources to further develop and hone the skills of our soon-to-be colleagues,” Van Winkle said.</p><separator></separator><p>“Hopefully this will assist in furthering their success within the legal field, while honoring the vision of our beloved partner.
