Law students take 2nd at moot court competition


As part of the College of Law’s Chicano Latino Law Students Association Moot Court Team, law students Claudia Gonzalez and Jamaar Williams won second place at the Hispanic National Bar Association’s 16th annual Uvaldo Herrera National Moot Court Competition held in New Orleans on March 11-12.

The students also received first place for Petitioner’s Brief during the competition, and were awarded a $4,500 scholarship by the HNBA Legal Education Fund.

The moot court competition featured students from many top U.S. law schools and prominent Latino judges from around the country.
