Stuhan had advanced to the semi-final round of the 2008 nationals, too, with then-teammate and now coach Kristine Reich, the College's Director of Pro Bono and Community Outreach.</p><separator></separator><p>Stuhan and Gordon advanced to the national round after winning the regional competition hosted by the College of Law in March. ASU teams have won the regional round of the Representation in Mediation Competition nine out of the last 10 years.</p><separator></separator><p>The ABA's Representation in Mediation Competition measures how well students model appropriate preparation for and representation of a client in mediation and provides students a valuable opportunity to experience the mediation process. The students are judged on preparation, teamwork, client representation, use of opportunities in the mediation process, and other elements of effective advocacy in mediation.</p><separator></separator><p><span style="font-size: 9pt; color: black; font-family: Tahoma" lang="EN">Janie Magruder, <a href="mailto:Jane.Magruder@asu.edu"><font color="#0000ff">Jane.Magruder@asu.edu</font></a><br />(480) 727-9052<br />Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law</span></p>
