Law professor publishes web-based teaching tool

Professor Susan Chesler has published an innovative, web-based teaching tool, "A Day in the Life of a Lawyer: Contracts Module" (with Karen Sneddon and Patrick Longan). It was released by Wolters Kluwer Law and Business.

It is the first in a series of teaching tools comprised of professionally produced vignettes featuring the knowledge, skills and values critical to practicing lawyers, as well as a comprehensive teacher's manual including discussion points, exercises and assessment tools.  Each module is aimed at incorporating interactive discourse and promoting self-reflection on skills, professionalism and ethics in a particular first-year required course. This first module is designed to be used in contracts, professional responsibility and lawyering-skills courses.

Chesler teaches Legal Method & Writing, Legal Advocacy, Contract Drafting and Negotiating, and Intensive Legal Research and Writing. She frequently publishes articles and regularly presents at national and regional conferences on teaching transactional skills, professionalism, contract drafting and other legal writing topics.
