Law professor gives keynote, video interview at Ford conference

Joel Garreau

Professor Joel Garreau, Lincoln Professor of Law at the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law, gave the closing keynote address at the Forward with Ford: Ford’s Futuring and Trends Conference, held June 21-23 in Dearborn, Mich.

The conference was an interactive immersion into how Ford’s innovations, technologies and philosophies, in alignment with top consumer influences and needs, are shaping the world of tomorrow.

It featured talks by several major thought leaders and experts, including Garreau, Malcolm Gladwell and Ed Begley Jr., and helped shed light on how Ford’s vehicles and technologies are linked to these significant global trends. Ford also invited 100 bloggers who focus on the company.

A video interview of Garreau, done by one of the bloggers just after he finished the keynote, can be seen here.

Garreau is the Lincoln Professor of Law, Culture and Values and Director of The Prevail Project: Wise Governance for Challenging Futures. He also is the author of Radical Evolution: The Promise and Peril of Enhancing Our Minds, Our Bodies, and What It Means to Be Human.
