Law professor featured on segment about climate change in Ariz.


Kris Mayes, Faculty Director of the Program on Law and Sustainability, was interviewed for ASUtv’s “Climate Change in Arizona” segment, scheduled to run Sept. 28 and 30 at 5 a.m. and 7 p.m.

The segment features experts from Arizona’s three public universities offering insight to climate challenges.

Mayes, who has a Master’s degree in Public Policy from Columbia University and a J.D. from the College of Law, helped co-author the Arizona Renewable Energy Standard while serving on the Arizona Corporation Commission from 2003-2010. Mayes teaches a course titled, “Utilities, Sustainability and the Law.
