Kramer quoted in Arizona Republic


Associate dean for intellectual life Zachary Kramer was quoted in an article in The Arizona Republic by Michelle Mitchell on June 18, titled “Chandler City Council denies Muslim-oriented townhouse development.”

Recently, the Chandler City Council voted down a proposed development that would cater to the Muslim community after it drew opposition from neighbors.

Kramer told the Republic that, as long as there are no rules prohibiting anyone from living there, a community can cater to a specific group of people without being discriminatory.
